Tbilisi, Georgia towards a European future

On May 8th the EU Delegation to Georgia, the Embassies of Member States and the local institutions have promoted the opening event of the 2016 European Days, with a celebration open to all citizens. Realized in the context of the “Let’s Meet Europe” project, the event was animated by games and fun, an open concert with local and International guest stars (among others, Nina Sublatti and Piero Mazzocchetti), European cuisine tastings.

The event, which took place the day before the traditional annual celebration of  the “Europe Day”, will be followed by over two weeks of events, especially addressed to Georgian families. President Giorgi Margvelashvili, who also participated, declared: «We are moving forward to create a European perspective in our country».

With a participatory approach and thanks to ad hoc communication actions, the general purpose of the European presence in Georgia is, indeed, to promote the role of the European Union, what it is and what it represents for the country. In order to manage its 2016 communication programme, the EU Delegation to Georgia has been joined by the agency Pomilio Blumm, that – on occasion of the Europe Days – realized also an a dedicated video.
